JEAN F. BONVALOT Of Forest Hills, age 84, unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Bonvalot. Loving mother of Lisa Fauth of Murrysville, Lori (Charles) Garvey of Worthington, Kirsten (Wayne) Schwoegl of Forest Hills and Karen (Bruce) Bonvalot Cody of Mayville, NY. Treasured Mimi to her grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim Dougherty) Schwoegl, Cory Cannon and Kyle Cannon who she adopted and raised, Erin Schwoegl and Zach Garvey. Sister of John (Diane) Frandsen and Richard (Kathy) Frandsen. Jean met her husband Gene when they were both working at HJ Heinz. After they married, Jean became a homemaker. Jean and Gene enjoyed antique auctions, collecting antique clocks and their weekly Thursday night Vinnie Pie dates. Jean was the ultimate caregiver, always putting everyone else first. She was a strong woman who spent the majority of her life raising her children and grandchildren. Later in life she doted on her canine companions, especially Bettsey, a miniature dachshund and, most recently, Hank, a 215-pound English mastiff. Jean was an exceptionally hard worker, always working on a project in the home or yard. She valued integrity, cooperation, honesty, education and independence. Jean enjoyed reading the newspaper, was intelligent and informed, and would share her viewpoints during conversations which will be greatly missed by her family. Jean will be laid to rest in William Penn Cemetery and services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 N. Linden St., Duquesne, PA 15110 or www.pittsburghfoodbank.org. Arrangements with PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
