ROBERT FRANCIS "BOB" TORTORETE Age 73, of Morningside, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from cancer. Married 52 years to his beloved wife, Ruth Ann Tortorete (Schmitt); loving father of Rochelle (Ian) Tortorete Siegel and Robert Eugene Tortorete; grandfather of Charlotte and James Tortorete Siegel; brother of Yvonne (Joseph) Bisegna and John Charles Tortorete; and son of the late Martha Josephine Stanczak and John Nicholas Tortorete. Bob was a lifetime resident of the Morningside community of Pittsburgh. He attended Peabody High School and shared ownership with his wife of several local businesses, including Morningside Automotive, RTR Manufacturing and the Original Station Street Hot Dog Shop of East Liberty. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, creative artist and ingenious tinkerer. He was generous with his time and talent and was a genuine friend. Bob's family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at UPMC Shadyside Neurological Intensive Care Unit. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
